New Stuff!
Just released this music video for the Happys, a band I love. I made this turf-to-roof, covering all design, pre/post production roles and editing. Pretty laid back shoot, just 2 afternoons together, here at home and close around.
Fortunately, grunge is a forgiving medium, I didn't feel like polished perfection really fit the project. So I got to make it extra slop-dirty. That was fun.
As I envisioned it, the song's about a frenetic ADHD dream, with spatial overlaps and dream physics and many simultaneous thinly related overwhelming thoughts.
Overshot on 3 simultaneous cameras with projection, a drone, compositing, and a smiley 3D spider. The projections were created with the MW software I'm developing.
The smooth truck in to Nick's knuckles was a G-Splat radiance field test.
Here's some storyboard pics, I think I stayed pretty close to my original intent.

Abstract:
Hi! I'm Wes3D, a multi-multi-multimedia artist. I've been working with 3D for over 30 years, in all kinds of manners, on all sorts of projects. From architectural and event visualizations, maps and walkthroughs, to online planning for enormous travelling television productions.

I've created some pretty unique software, some visionary interactive multimedia installations, done a bunch of camera operation, studio tech, lighting and post-effects for video and performance art, I've shot meticulous on-set virtual background photography and wrangled data for feature film visual FX.

Also, I'm getting kinda okay at making homemade pasta.

Tangibles:
  • 3D organic modelling for practical fabrication.
  • 3D visualization of absolutely anything at all.
  • Live multimedia projections and interactive spaces.
  • Virtualized production coordination and tech direction.
  • Videography, on-set production photography
  • presentation design and software development.

  • Intangibles:
I'm a creative problem solver, deriving innovative solutions across disciplines, harnessing a strongly mathematical visual mind and a broad spectrum of capability.

    Here are some projects.
